How is the Treatment Done?

A series of 12 sterile micro-needles are attached to the MD Needle Pen. We then apply a layer of your topical solutions (Hyaluronic Acid or Growth Factor Serum) onto the skin while the needles are gliding over the skin. The feeling is similar to a light sandpaper is moving across your skin. While some areas such as the forehead, maybe sensitive than others, it is definitely tolerable. We also apply topical numbing for you prior to the treatment. Please plan on arriving 30-45 minutes in advance for numbing!  The treatment itself takes about 1 hour.

Who is the Ideal Candidate For Microneedling

Microneedling is beneficial to clients who may have acne scars, sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles or any other skin imperfections such as:

  • Uneven skin tone

  • Rough skin texture

  • Large pores

  • Severely dry skin

Does it hurt?

What is the downtime?

Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin. It looks almost like a sunburn. On average, clients are red up to 2 to 4 days. Some clients heal completely in as little as 24 hours.

When will I see the results?

Clients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues. Some clients only require a single treatment to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most clients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. For clients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6 week intervals.
